Account Manager - Healthcare PR/Comms

Job Description:

WE Buchan, one of the world’s largest independent integrated communications agencies, is looking for driven professionals to join our highly successful office in Sydney. With an office in the heart of the CBD, we are keen to bolster our ranks with a talented PR/Comms Account Manager to join our super-talented and growing Healthcare Practice.

 

Our Sydney office is one of 18 across the globe, and it’s expanding rapidly. We work across time zones and continents. Our clients are innovative and so is our work – and importantly, our employees come first. We are currently looking for a first-rate PR/Comms operator to assume responsibility across established global healthcare brands; providing insightful client counsel, a deep understanding of the healthcare sector and passion for business writing. You are required to have strong budgetary and financial management experience, whilst mastering the ability to manage both up and down – ensuring you develop, as well as your direct reports.

 

This a great opportunity for an experienced AM to help us drive full integration across our client portfolio, allowing you to take over the management of a number of key healthcare clients. You will also have a solid understanding of PR and digital, and how a PR agency integrates both into a cohesive working strategy.

 

Key strengths within this role should include content creation, Australia media relations, a passion for healthcare(consumer and/or pharmaceutical), international coordination and the ability to think multi-channel/multi-platform at all times. You will be working with a fantastic senior team, who will invest time and energy in your own development and career progression.


Responsibilities:

Main Accountabilities:

 

  • Expert client management, with the ability to work both PR and marketing clients
  • Media strategy and campaign development experience
  • Strong media relationships and understanding of the Australian national, business and helathcare media landscape
  • Ability to lead a team, working with colleagues across time zones and regions
  • Integrated(traditional and digital) strategy and campaign developmnet experience
  • Developmnet of regular "smaller campaign" plans as well as overall client strategy
  • Solid social media skills, whilst already having strong and established relationships with local media
  • Story generatoin - helping to brainstorm ideas to generate coverage for clients

Previous proven experience:

  • 4+ years within a PR/Comms agency
  • Experience of working across very technical clients, with the ability to seamlessly transition to more consumer-orientated clients
  • Experience of both B2B and B2C, across multiple sectors
  • Proven track record of delivering high-profile campaigns, both in Australia and across APAC
  • Experience of leading account, account teams and campaigns
