Job Description:

The Director of Human Resources’ primary responsibility is to strategically serve as an HR business partner providing senior level employee relations management, developing HR programs that attract, develop, motivate, and retain highly skilled associates and to collaborate with Company divisions to further the strategic goals of the organization. This role guides executives on personal and team development while managing the development and implementation of HR programs and strategy. The HR Director may oversee one or more functional HR areas (Employee Relations/Talent Acquisition/Compensation/Benefits/HRIS/Learning & Development) and reports directly to the Chief Talent Officer (CTO).


Responsibilities:

 

  • Executive business partner
    • Provide executive level HRBP support to include senior level employee relations management, personal and team development, and executive coaching with tools like Hogan, Booth, and/or Insights.
    • Ensure accurate and compelling communication of HR programs to business leaders and employees.
  • Strategic planner
    • Develop policies and practices in conjunction with the CTO and works with senior staff, HR functional leads and areas to ensure the delivery of HR programs to meet the needs of the organization.
    • Facilitate and lead complex HR initiatives and programs, identifying gaps and mitigating risks, while ensuring a smooth delivery of services.
    • Design and manage HR programs in a manner that educates and promotes effective management and influences behavior to ensure efficient and cost effective program design, administration, and utilization.
  • Human Resources functional leader
    • Manage career development and performance of direct reports, managing up to senior staff on crisis issues, and client/team satisfaction while holding the team accountable to demonstrating agency values.
    • Work with functional leads to prepare and manage the annual employee benefits, compensation, talent management and systems budget to effectively monitor and forecast related expenses to ensure effective control and identification of variances and trends.
    • Establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships with managers globally by responding effectively to their diversified business needs and objectives while ensuring consistency with overall HR objectives and Company policies.
    • Ensure legal compliance with provisions of local, state, and federal legislative requirements for functional programs; directs periodic audits to ensure ongoing compliance.

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Psychology, Human Resource Management, Organizational Development or a similar applicable discipline is required; or the equivalent applicable work experience. MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in all disciplines of HR with knowledge of relevant employment law practices. Program design and planning, development, implementation is preferred in one or more HR disciplines. Diversity and Inclusion experience is highly desirable.
  • 5-8 + years of progressively responsible management experience specifically in HR.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (particularly Outlook, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Excel).

ENVIRONMENT 

  • Fast-paced team environment (frequent tight deadlines, multitasking, etc.).
  • Strong presentation and consulting skills along with the ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Open office environment with a diverse team (flat structure).
  • May need to work more than 40 hours per week on occasion; Ability to travel up to 10%.
